Thomas Chane

     Thomas E. “Hebe” Chane, 85, of Bellmead died Saturday, May 18, 2002 at his residence.  Family visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bellmead Funeral Home.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 at Bellmead Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Allen officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin.

     Mr. Chane was born to Arthur and Alice Huitt Chane on Dec. 13, 1916 in Otto, Texas.  He served in CC Camp during World War II in McGregor during the 1930’s.  He was preceded in death by Verdie Rice, Rosie Brunson, Mary Gamez, John Chane and Ellis Chane.

     He is survived by a son, Thomas Chane; daughter, Diane Chane; devoted daughter-in-law, Janette Chane; grandson, Troy Chane; granddaughter, Jennifer Chane; special friend, Bryon Dixon; special devoted caregiver, Deborah Dudzinski; all of Waco; sisters, Alice Britt of Marlin and Willie Mae Stachowick of Houston; brothers, George Chane of Weatherford and Jesse Chane and Robert Chane, both of Marlin.

     Pallbearers will be Alton Thornton, Gene Witt, Robert (Chigger) Webb, Donald Keel, Jerry Don Keel, Wayne Sigler, Max Sturdivant and Robert Lucien.

     The family will be at the of Thomas and Janette Chane.
