     George J. Caddell Sr. of Waco, a retired equipment operator at Lehigh Cement Co., died Monday at a local hospital.  He was 76.

     Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Stanley Beatty officiating.

     Mr. Caddell was born March 14, 1918, in Otto.  He married Susie Helen Walker on Oct. 10, 1941, in Marlin.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in Germany.  He moved from Marlin to Waco in 1950.  He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Waco.

     Survivors include his wife; three sons, Roger Caddell of Bryan, Johnny Caddell of Waco and George Caddell Jr. of Fort Worth; two daughters, Hope Byrd and Tammie Nehring, both of Lorena; a brother, Robert Grisham of Waco; four sisters, Coma Densman of Robinson, Letha Gradel, Myrtle Dunn and Bobbie Christian, all of Waco; and 13 grandchildren.

     Visitation will be 6 to 8 tonight at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

     Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
