BEHNKE, W. A. (BILL)

       EDDY -- W. A. (Bill) Behnke, age 87 of Eddy, died Saturday in a local nursing home.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 1996, at Eddy Cemetery, Rev. Jim Gray officiating.
       Mr. Behnke was born January 5, 1909, in Carmine, Texas.  He graduated from Robinson Academy and earned a BA degree in psychology from Baylor University in 1955.  On November 17, 1944, he married Mary Frances Morris.  She died October 29, 1986.  Mr. Behnke served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.  He was a postal clerk, working in the Eddy, Downtown Waco, and Westview Branch of the U.S. Post Office.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eddy.
       Survivors include his nieces and nephews.
       Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Eddy, Texas.
