JOHN C. BEEBEY, 89



Funeral services for John C. Beebey, 89, of Lott are to be held in

Marlin at 3 p.m. Monday with Rev. J. W. Bridges of Lott officiating. Mr.

Beebey died Sunday noon and is survived by two sons, H. C. Beebey of Waco

and Boss Beebey of Lott; four daughters, Mesdames R.B. and W.B. Walker, E.

A. Landrum of Satin; C.E. Newton of Wichita Falls. Pallbearers are R.W.

Walker, W.B. Walker, C.E. Newton, E.A. Landrum, son-in-law of Mr. Beebey,

John and Perry Tomlinson, W.E. Shankle, John Bloxom, relatives.

C. T. MERIACLE, 78



Eddy, April 4--- Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this

afternoon from the Eddy Baptist church with Rev. Mr. Wheelis officiating,

for C.T. Meriacle, 78, who died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday at the of his son,

Rufe, after several weeks' illness. Interment was at Eddy cemetery.

Surviving is one brother, Perry Meriacle, Chilton; one daughter, Mrs. S.

A. Harrell; five sons, Turner, Rufe, Criss, all of Eddy, Jeff of San Antonio

and Elmer of Port Arthur. Mr. Meriacle had been a resident of Eddy and

member of the Baptist church there for 38 years. Pallbearers were: Joe

Summers, Lonza Teaff, Travis Dubois, T.L. Page, Floy Moore, J.R. Laughlin.

Wilkerson and Hatch, Waco, had charge of funeral arrangements.



CLARENCE BICKERS



Lorena. April 4---Funeral services for Clarence Lee Bickers, 29, who

died at 2:25 a.m. today at the of his mother, Mrs. Cora Bickers, near

here, will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Lorena

Methodist church, with Rev. Mr. Hays officiating. Interment will be at the

Lorena cemetery.

Surviving is the mother; three brothers, Henry of Port Neches, Arthur

Cleo of Satin, Harle of Lorena; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Crosby, Durango,

and Mrs. Callie Crocker, Seeley. Pallbearers will be George Sharp, Johnnie

Williams, Will Maxey, Evans Jones, Tom Stanford, and Harry Phelps.

Wilkerson and Hatch of Waco are in charge of funeral arrangements.

CLARA HODGES



Mrs. Dora Hodges , 2101 Lasker, Thursday received a telegram telling of

the death of her daughter, Miss Clara Hodges, 28, who died Wednesday night

in a New York hospital following an operation. The body is being shipped to

Waco. No funeral arrangements have been made yet.

Miss Clara Hodges, a former Baylor student, was a graduated nurse,

having trained in Dallas. Since graduating from the Dallas training school,

she had been working in a New York hospital.

Surviving her are her mother, Mrs. Dora Hodges, of Waco; three sisters,

Mrs. M. Hall of Waco, Mrs. Sam Lane of Honey Grove and Mrs. Edwin Rice of

San Angelo; and four brothers, R.B. of Waco, H.H. of Dallas, S.L. of Lott

and W.E. of Marlin.

MISS KARL HODGES



Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. today from First Baptist

church with Rev. J.M. Dawson officiating for Miss Karl Hodges, died

Wednesday in a New York hospital. Interment is to be made at the Park Lawn

cemetery.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Dora Hodges, of Waco; three sisters,

Mrs. M. Hall of Waco, Mrs. Sam Lane of Honey Grove and Mrs. Edwin Wright of

San Angelo; and four brothers, R.R. and H.H. of Wac, F.L. of Lott and W.S.

of Marlin. Pallbearers will be I. N. Odom, Tom Barnes, J.W. Tabor, Paul

Darwin, Earl Hooks, John Gauntt, C.E. James, R.B. Stanford.
