Young Man Dies After Illness of Two Weeks

Funeral Services For Deceased Announced With Burial in Calvary



     Charley Batey, 19-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Batey of near Marlin, died here this morning after an illness of about two weeks’ duration.
     
     A native of Falls county, deceased had spent most of his life in Van Zandt county where his family moved when he was a child and lived until they returned here to reside.  He was a member of the Baptist church.
     
     Surviving deceased are his parents, a brother, J. C. Batey, and six sisters, Elsie, Rosie Mae, Addie Fae, Lorene, Hazel and Del Marie Batey, all of who reside at the family residence about two miles west of Marlin.
     
     Funeral services were announced for five o’clock this afternoon with burial in Calvary cemetery.

Funeral Services Held For Young Man in Marlin



     Funeral services for Charley Batey, age 19 years, who died in Marlin, were held at five o’clock Tuesday afternoon.
     
     Burial was in Calvary cemetery with last rites conduced at the grave by Rev. S. D. Dollahite, pastor of the First Baptist church.
