     Riesel---John D. Barton, 83, of Riesel, a rancher and cotton buyer, died Thursday at a Waco Hospital.  Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Riesel Cemetery, the Rev. Jane Lovett officiating.  Mr. Barton was born Jan. 8, 1903, in Falls County.  He was a member of McClanahan Baptist Church.  He was married to Lois Punchard; she died in 1957.
     Survivors include several nieces and nephews. 

     Adams Funeral in Marlin is in charge of arrangements.
