ELDRIDGE R. BROWN
March 21, 1919 - December 16, 2005

     Eldridge R. Brown, 86, of Rosebud, Falls County, Texas died Friday, December 16, 2005, in a Marlin Hospital.  Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton officiating.

     Burial followed in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.

     Mr. Brown was born March 21, 1919 in Cisco to Eldridge Todd and Margie Leatherman Brown. He lived in Falls County most of his life.  He married Louise Borden on June 20, 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a roofer.  He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

     Survivors include his wife, Louise Brown of Rosebud; one son, Eddie Ray Brown of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Kaihy Tadlock of Aquilla and Sondra Tulton of Lott, Texas; one brother, Milton Brown of Cameron; two sisters, Inez Reynolds of Mesquite, Texas and Faye Lombardo of Marlin, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Brown.

     Memorials may be made to New Salem Baptist Church or to Powers Chapel Cemetery Association.

     Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
