J. S. Britt was killed Friday night at 8:30 by a passenger train on the Texas Central two miles north of Waco.

Britt resided on the Billingsley farm on the Brazos river, the one that is known as the place. His son-in-law, Mr. Patterson, is forman of this farm. He was notified of the tragedy during the night ans went to Waco this morning to arrange for the funeral.

Deceased and his family had gone to the holiness camp meeting near Waco and the man had evidently lost his way while returning to the camp from a trip in town, taking the Central track instead of the Cotton Belt.

He had lived on the Billingsley farm for several years. The first information of his death to reach Marlin came in a telegram message to J.B. Billingsley.

The dead man leaves a wife and several children.
