Dies; Services
Today in Chilton

 

     CHILTON--John Calvin Bridger died in a Waco rest at 6:30 a.m. Thursday. He was 79.

 

     Services will be at the Chilton Baptist Church today at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Marion Ford officiating. Burial will be in Chilton Cemetery with Green Funeral of Rosebud in charge.

 

     He was a native of Georgia. He came to Texas as a young boy. He married Ella Maricle at Bruceville in 1904. He lived in Waco since last August.

 

     He was a retired farmer.

 

     Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Wilburt* McKee of Eddy; three sons, A. H. Bridger of Chilton, Bill Bridger of 109 Brewster, Waco and Perry Bridger of Temple; two sisters, Mrs. Tobe Farris of 1505 Mitchell and Mrs. Claude Martin of Colorado City; two brothers, William Bridger and Offa Bridger, both of Waco; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
