E. C. Boyd Sr.
Dies At Home
Near Chilton

 

     E. C. Boyd Sr., age 57, expired at his near Chilton sometime during the night Saturday, unknown to members of his family until Sunday morning when he was called and failed to respond. He had not been entirely well for some time and had complained of a heart ailment during the past week, a member of his family said Monday morning.

     Funeral services were held at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Chilton Baptist church conducted by Rev. Reilly Copeland of Waco.

     Mr. Boyd had resided in the Chilton community a number of years and was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Baptist church.

     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie S. Boyd; three children, Mrs. Clyde Jackson and E. C. Boyd Jr., of Chilton, and Mrs Ralph Scott, Waco; four sisters, Mrs. John Douglas and Mrs. Jennie Davis, Chilton, Mrs. L. J. White, Rosebud, Mrs. H. T. Boyd, West Texas; three brothers also survive, Jack Boyd, Chilton, Hardy Boyd, Lott, and T. H. Boyd, Arlington.--Marlin Democrat.
