MRS. BOWERS' SERVICES TODAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Georgie Bowers, 87, of Lorena, Will  be at 3 p. m. today in Lorena Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Anderson  and  Rev. A. M. Stone will officiate.  Burial will be in Blevins Cemetery.

Mrs. Bowers died at her 3:10 a. m. Monday. She was born July 10, 1873 in Mooreville.  She had lived in Lorena 12 years. Her husband, Robert Bowers. died in 1906.   Mrs. Bowers was a member of Lorena First Baptist Church.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Charlie Stone and Mrs. Elige Broome, both of Eddy, Mrs. Drew Walthall of Taylor. Mrs. Louis Concilio of 3820 North Twenty sixth Street, and Mrs. James Pace of Lorena; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.

Note: Georgia (Standridge) Bowers was the wife of Robert Russell Bowers and the daughter of  John Wesley and Mary Caroline (Whatley) Standridge.

Luna Mae Battle Pace was the niece of Georgia Bowers. Georgia's sister, Minnie Mae (Standridge) Battle died shortly after Luna Mae's birth. Luna Mae Battle was reared by her aunt, Georgia Bowers-lsc
