Clyde Bell
January 7, 1919 - July 3, 2007

     Clyde Bell, 88, of Giddings, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in a Giddings nursing home.

     Services were held Monday, in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral in Rosebud. Rev. Billy Crow officiated.

     Burial was in Union Cemetery in Durango.

     Mr. Bell was born January 7, 1919 in Telephone, Texas to Clark and Barbara Bolt Bell. He married Erna Schmiedekamp on August 2, 1939.

     He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was well known for his singing and guitar playing at church socials and other events.

     He was preceded in death by his wife on August 4, 1990 and a son, Donald Bell.

     Survivors include two sons, Cliff Bell of Austin and John Bell of Houston; two daughters, Joyce Bryant of Tracy, Calif. and Evelyn Shade of Rosebud; daughter-in-law, Carol Bell of Giddings; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
