REBEKAH LODGE ENTERTAINS
WITH CHRISTMAS PARTY

Marlin Rebekah Lodge 385 held its annual Christmas party and turkey dinner Monday evening at the Kanine Kave.

The decorating committee, Mmes. Mittie Davlin and Cleo Meyer, decorated the Christmas tree. The hall was decorated with holly and ivy.

The Rebekahs were hostesses to their families and friends and the Oddfellows and their families.  Fifty-eight attended.

Rev. Gerald A. Griffin gave the invocation.

A program commemorating the birth of Christ was presented by Mrs. Grace Norquist, program leader.  Vocal solos by Louis Hicks were, "Bless This House,"  "White Christmas" and "Silent Night," with Mrs. Eligin Hays as piano accompanist.

Readings given were:  Mrs. Ora Jones, "Song From Heaven"; Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor, "In As Much As Ye Have Done Unto the Least of These" and Mrs. Grace Norquist, Christmas is Always."

Mrs. Gerald Griffin gave a piano solo, "Winter Wonderland."  Louis Hicks led the group singing of carols, "Jingle Bells" and "Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem."  The program closed with Louis Hicks giving the benediction.

Gifts were exchanged around the Christmas tree.
