               HARDING E. HARTMAN, 29, DIES AT VETS HOSPITAL,

                                    BURIAL AT PERRY TUESDAY

 

            Harding E. Hartman, age 29, died at the Lisbon Veteran’s Hospital in Dallas, at 9 a.m. Sunday, February 26, 1950,  following a prolonged illness.

            The deceased was born near Riesel, April 21, 1919.  He had lived in and near Marlin most of his lifetime.  He served in the U. S. Army for three years and with duty in England, following his training in Camp Hohn, California.

             His wife was formerly Miss Sallie McCune of Shreveport, Louisiana.  They were married in Shreveport.  Following the war they made their at Marlin and he was employed at the Langford Motor Sales Corporation.

            The remains were returned to the Adams Funeral in Marlin Sunday afternoon.  Funeral services Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Chapel, followed by another service at the Perry Methodist Church, and burial in the church cemetery.  Chaplain G. A. Nelson of the Lisbon Hospital and Rev. E. C. Sooter, the church pastor, officiating.

            Surviving are his widow and two children Joyce Ann and Janie, all of Marlin. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hartman, Rt 1, Marlin.  One sister Mrs. Walter Sowders, Marlin.  A brother Louis Hartman, Marlin.

            Active pallbearers, Carl Dreyer, Raymond Windt, Eathan Schrader, Miles Wusterhausen, Otto Wetzel, E. L. Krummow.
