DATES ANNOUNCED FOR
OLD SETTLERS REUNION

       The annual Old Settlers and Veterans Reunion will be held July 17th and 18th, two nights and one day, according to plans of the directors and members of the Association, who met in the County Court room in Marlin Saturday afternoon, upon call of President Albert P. Tomlinson, Miss Mae Hutchings of Marlin, chairman; F. L. Hodges of Chilton, Miss Maureen Pierson of Marlin, Mrs. Hal Storey of Lott, Sanford Hancock and Roy Eddins of Marlin were appointed on the program committee for the Reunion.
       Program for Thursday night (July 17) will be by veterans and the following were appointed to arrange it; Fred B. Glass, chairman, Frank C. Oltorf, Robert Burton and Garland Barton.  Another committee, O. N. Campbell, chairman, Mrs. Talmadge Roberts of Chilton, R. L. (Bob) Landrum of Lott and Brady Hodges of Rosebud, was appointed to arrange for a band to play at the Reunion, preceeding the night's programs and at the opening of the day's program (Friday), and throughout the day's program, when called upon.
       President asked for assistance to details of closing both night's program and guarding the grounds and Reunion equipment.  He was assured of assistance and Reed Watkins will head the arrangements.  Mr. Campbell will provide the loud-speaker for the programs and, also, have charge of the cold drinks concession.  He has provided these services for a number of years previously.  Jo(e) Matelski of Marlin will have char(ge) of barbecue pits, making for
