DELEGATES REPORT HEARD BY BEULAH-SHIELDS CLUB

Fourteen Members and Two Visitors Attend Meeting With Join Hostesses.

Mrs. Ethel Laughlin and Mrs. Joe Polk were hostesses to the Beulah-Shields Demonstration Club Thursday, July 2. There were fourteen members and two visitors, Miss Corine Gurley and Miss Fleta Keetch present. Mrs. Ralph Phillips was enrolled as a new member.

Mrs. S. G. Keetch, who was the club delegate to the demonstration on the use of wild grapes given by Miss Hayden in Marlin June 20, gave her report. It was too warm to repeat the demonstration, but Mrs. Keetch gave the recipes and explicit directions as to procedure. She then passed a sample of the grape marmalade which she had made at and then ladies were privileged to taste it. The product was pronounced delicious.

A club canner has been purchased. Besides the club canner, there are nine canners owned by members of the club.

The club will give an ice cream supper at Shields school Saturday night, July 11. An interesting program of fun is being planned.

The next meeting of the club will be July 21st, with Miss Katie Myrick as hostess.
