Captain From Marlin
Directs Contact Camp
~~~~~
Under the direction of Captain L. V. Hunnicutt, Marlin man who is an officer in the United States army on duty at 90th division headquarters in San Antonio, a contact camp was held recently at Fort Sam Houston for army officers who assembled in a grove on Salado creek, a stream which flows through a historic region and is recalled by many Marlin and Falls county men who were at Camp Travis during the world war.
An editorial complimenting conduct of the camp was carried in a San Antonio newspaper, declaring the war department considers it helpful along several lines. It brings all branches of officers together and has proved very popular.
Military features addresses and other interesting events were listed on the program.
