EVERLASTING WREATH
SENT TO FATHER's GRAVE
Interesting Chaim of Circumstances
Developed in Death in
Marlin.
An everlasting
wreath on artificial flowers and natural flowers treated
chemically to give them lasting qualities has been received by G. S. Buchanan,
Marlin Chamber of Commerce secretary, from Reginald Overstreet of Los Angeles,
Calif., to be placed on the grave in Calvary cemetery of the latter's father, H.
D. Overstreet, on Memorial Day.
Death of the elder Overstreet in Marlin developed an interesting chain of
circumstances. During his last illness, he voiced a desire to see his son
from whom he had been separated 18 years and was believed to be somewhere in
California. Telephone, telegraph and radio broadcasting facilities were
brought into play with the result that the son was located and came to Marlin by
airplane.
