WIFE OF RECTOR GIVEN
SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Pieper entertained at their Friday evening, honoring Mrs. F. P. Goddard, wife of Rev. Goddard, rector of St. John's Episcopal church, on the occasion of her birthday.

The event came as a surprise to Mrs. Goddard, who was presented with a floor lamp as a token of the observance.  An attractive birthday cake was provided, the creation of Mrs. T.W. Foster.

Progressive "42" was indulged in by guests and appetizing refreshments were served.
