TAYLOR's CHAPEL PUPILS
ENJOY DELIGHTFUL PICNIC

                   Seventh Grade Student Writes of
Outing in Which Students
Participated

The following account of Taylor's Chapel picnic was writing for seventh grade English by Theodore Platt:

On Friday, March 20, the pupils of Taylor's Chapel school had a picnic in Mr. Chris Hegefield's pasture.  We came to school at 8:30 o'clock.  Then, our teacher, Miss Loggins, took us down to the picnic ground.

We played ball from 9:30 until noon.  We had a fine game.  There were nine girls on one side and nine boys on the other.  The boys were "in town" first because some of them were small.  After two games it was time to prepare for dinner.  We built a fire and made coffee and roasted weiners.  We then made a jar of lemonade and spead the dinner on the table.  Every pupil was given a plate lunch.

After dinner we played another game of ball and took pictures of everyone at the picnic.  It was then four o'clock and everybody went happy.
