Marlin High Senior Class

    Boys captured both valedictory and salutatory honors of Marlin High school's 1931 graduating class.
   Gaines Sparks was valedictorian with an average grade of
93 57-100 the highest in the class. Wilson Wieting ranked next with
92 34-100 and was accorded the honor of giving the salutation.
   Celina LeSassier was the leader in grades among girls in the class with an average of 91 43-100.
   These honors were announced by H. J. McIlhany, superintendent, at commencement exercises in the school auditorium Tuesday evening.  
   And the boys out numbered girls in the class 24 - 22.

NOTE: The spelling of the superintendent is McILANY. When typing this it came out looking McIlany.  kc
