WHEREIN ONE CLUB REPORT WAS DELAYED IN TRANSIT

However There’s Still Good News in The Proceedings of the Satin 4-H

An interesting report of a meeting of the Satin 4-H Club held in May at the country of Mrs. W. D. Walker was delayed in transit from the pen to the printer.

The meeting was called to order by Hazel Campbell, the president, promptly at 10 o’clock.  Following this came the roll call by the secretary Lillian Moore.  As the girls responded to the roll, they related how they had improved their gardens and homes.

Mrs. Walker then discussed a forty-two party, to be held soon, with the girls.  Hazel Campbell elected Rosa Lee Holland chairman of the arrangement and entertainment committees.  The two committees were appointed by the chairman.

The girls were delighted to have with them Miss Jacks, and they immediately called on her for a talk.  She responded by telling them how to make different dressings, and then led the girls in a merry club song.

After business was adjourned, the girls willingly trooped to the kitchen to learn to make dressing.  The girls were divided into groups of five each, each with a different recipe and how to prepare dressing.  The dressings were:

1.      French dressing.

2.      Cooked salad dressing.

3.      Mayonnaise dressing.

The girls of the 4-H Club were elated over their success of the “dressings.”
