REHEARING REFUSED ON
CASE FROM FALLS COUNTY

Another Submitted to Court to Criminal
Appeals on State's
Brief.

Appelant's motion for rehearing was overruled by the Texas court of criminal appeals at Austin Wednesday in the case of L. T. Ray, whose two-year conviction on a burglary charge by a jury in Falls county district court, was affirmed recently by the higher court.  Issuance of mandate for commitment of the defendant to the state penitentiary is the next step expected in the case.
Appeal of Robert Chappell from a two-year conviction for murder by a jury in Falls county district court was submitted to the higher court on the state's brief.  Chappell was adjudged guilty in connection with slaying of Will Bolin at Lott.
