CASE FROM FALLS COUNTY
Another Submitted to Court to Criminal
Appeals on State's
Brief.
Appelant's motion for rehearing was overruled by the Texas court of criminal
appeals at Austin Wednesday in the case of L. T. Ray, whose two-year conviction
on a burglary charge by a jury in Falls county district court, was affirmed
recently by the higher court. Issuance of mandate for commitment of the
defendant to the state penitentiary is the next step expected in the case.
Appeal of Robert Chappell from a two-year
conviction for murder by a jury in Falls county district court was submitted to
the higher court on the state's brief. Chappell was adjudged guilty in
connection with slaying of Will Bolin at Lott.
