of Gun After Foray
For Cat.

       Accidental discharge of a pistol wounded O. L. Hammonds of Marlin in the left wrist at his near the cemetery Friday night.
       Hammonds said he got out his .38 Smith & Wesson with the intention of taking a crack at a cat that was creating a disturbance in the vicinity.  He thought the safety was on, but it wasn't.
       "I'm going to get rid of my gun," "Boots," as he is known to many Marlin people, opined in commenting on the mishap.
