PERSIS SOCIETY HOLDS
AUGUST SESSION IN HOME

Invitation Accepted to Have Next
Meeting in Form of Lawn
Party.

The regular August session of the Persis Society of Grace Lutheran church held in the of Mrs. E. J. Voelter Wednesday afternoon was well attended.

After collection of dues, the treasury showed a balance of $54.16.

The membership committee reported on its successes, failures and prospects.

The invitation of Mrs. Dave Adam was accepted that the next meeting be held at her at night in the form of a lawn party, members to bring their families.

Rev. G. J. Beyer, the pastor, lectured on "Thou Shalt Not Kill"--that is, to do anything to destroy, shorten or embitter the life of another as well as our own, or to harbor thoughts of anger and hatred.

Delicious refreshments were served.
