LIVES ANCIENT HISTORY
ON TRIP IN NEW MEXICO

Marlin Girl Writes of Visiting Cliff
Dwellers and Other
Experiences

"We are living ancient history," writes Ann Bartlett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Bartlett of Marlin, who is visiting in New Mexico with her grandmother, Mrs. Z. I. Harlan, going to that state after a tour of Colorado.
"To visit the cliff dwellers, to drink of the well used by Coronado in 1610, to go into the oldest mission in the United States, San Miguel, to view the art that decorates the walls of the cathedral of St. Assusi, is a review of history that seems to be musty with age,"  she adds, observing:  "A reverence comes over one."
Accompanying the missive is a picture of "Julian and Maria, famous San Ildefonso Indian potters plying their craft at Santa Fe, N. M."
