HISTORY REPEATS AS BRYDEN
DRUG STORE MOVES TO
NEW LOCATION
Remodeling the
Michael S. Hunt building at 215 Live Oak street was completed and Bryden's Drug
Store moved in it Thursday. A new (missing) set back to make an
inviting (missing) (en)trance, new ceiling, tile floor, refinished walls make
this one (of the) most attractive buildings in (the busi)ness section of town.
With its occupancy by Bryden's Drug store history repeats itself. Years
ago (about 1880) the late Dr. R. C. Nettles owned a drug store at this same
location. His office was in the rear.
"As long as I can remember this location was the of a drug store until a few
years ago," said T. B. Bryden today. "Keeping up with progress accounts
for our recent move. Our stock will be increased and we can render better
service in our new home. Our fountain service offers greater satisfaction
at the new location, also."
The modern drug store which now occupies the building is far advanc(ed) from the
drug store of fify ye(ars) ago. Like the use of medicine, (missing) stores
have made rapid pro(gress) since 1880.
