"Demand for soil survey work is growing so rapidly that it is difficult for us to comply with all requests,"  states W. T. Carter of College Station, in charge of this work in Texas, who is in Marlin for an inspection of the Falls county soil survey being made by M. W. Beck, government engineer.
Mr. Carter is author of a pamphlet entitled, "The Soil Survey--What it is--Its Uses,"  a digest of which was carried recently in the columns of the Democrat.
       A. B. Connor, director of the Texas agricultural experiment station, co-operating in the work, is reported especially interested in the Falls county survey, since he was reared in this county, being a son of R. B. Connor of Rosebud.
