MARLIN MAN ELECTED CHAMBER PRESIDENT

Dr. N. D. Buie of Marlin was elected president
of the East Texas
Chamber of Commerce for the ensuing year at a luncheon of the board of directors
today following closing of the annual convention of the
organization in Marlin. Dr. Buie has been active in ranks of the
organization for several years, serving as vice president and chairman of the
fourth district during the past year.
Vice presidents elected, who will served as chairmen of the districts
indicated, were J.D. Middleton of Greenville, No. l; I. Hochwald of Marshall,
No. 2; Lowry Martin of Corsicana, No. 4; J. H. Seale, Jr., of Jasper, No. 5; and
Tom Ball of Huntsville, No. 6.
C.F. Ashcroft of Sulphur Springs was elected treasurer and H. M.
Harrison of Longview was re-elected general manager.
