FUNERAL OF DROWNING VICTIM
HELD AT BREMOND

Two Boys Lose Lives as They Leap from
Raft at San Jacinto Day Picnic

The funeral of Douglas Walker, nine-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S.
Walker, who, with Philip Hall, 10-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hall,
was drowned Tuesday afternoon while jumping from one raft to another on Jackson lake near Thorndale, was held at Bremond at three o'clock this afternoon.
The two boys were members of a group holding a San Jacinto Day picnic, reports of the tragedy stated.  Douglas Walker was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Walker of Bremond, the father of the boy being a former resident of Bremond. Both of the victims of the drowing were residents of Thorndale.  L. A. Robinson and family of Marlin attended the funeral at Bremond,
Mrs. Robinson being advised of the tragedy by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Will Harris of Dallas, an aunt of the Walker child.
