Bride-Elect honored
At Delightful Dinner
~~~~~
Mrs. Elsie
Garland and daughters, Norma Thomson and Vista Mae Haney, entertained with a
delightful dinner honoring Miss Oleta Goolsby, whose marriage to Mr. Max
Cornelius of Kingsville will be solemnized Sunday.
Cut flowers were used effectively in house decorations, while pink rosebuds
centered the table, covers being laid for 12. Three courses were served
consisting of iced tomatoe juice, fried chicken, potatoe nests and peas, fruit
salad, olives, and bread and butter sandwiches; orange sherbert, angel food cake
and mints.
Tiny gold slippers were favors and the honoree was favored with a vase of
Roseville pottery.
Three tables of bridge were arranged following the dinner, the bridge theme
being emphasized in appointments.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wright of Dallas were out of town guests.
