MARLIN FANS TO HONOR
BULLDOGS WITH BANQUET
A. and M. Business Manager of Athletics
and Aggie Captain
to Speak.
D. W. Carlton, business manager of atheltics (sic) for A. and M. College of
Texas, and Carl Moulden of Cisco, captain of the 1931 Aggie gridiron
aggregation, will be the speakers on a program featuring a banquet in the Hilton
hotel Friday evening sponsored by the Rotary club at which Bulldog fans will
honor members of the 1931 Marlin High school football team.
Acceptances of invitations from Carlton and
Moulden were received Wednesday afternoon by R. L. Perdue, Rotary program
chairman for this week. They will come to Marlin from College Station for
the banquet.
Rev. S. D. Dollahite will be toastmaster
and Rev. W. H. Matthews will lead in group singing. Talks are slated by J.
M. Wilson, business manager of Maarlin (sic) High school athletics; G. B.
Weathers, Marrlin (sic) High school athletic director; and Wyche Springfield,
1931 captain of the Bulldogs.
Eevry (sic) fan in Marlin is invited to
attend the banquet. Tickets are in charge of members of the Marlin High
school pep squad, or advance reservations may be made at the Hilton by those
desiring to attend up to noon Friday.
