Officers Elected---Banquet To Be

Given December 31

     At the last meeting of Artesia Camp No. 135 the following officers were

elected for the next year:

     Consul Commander, C. G. Cooley.

     Advisor Lieutenant, J. W. Gregg.

     Banker, J. J. Spencer.

     Clerk, B. F. Foster.

     Escort, R. J. McKinney.

     Watchman, L. H. Foster.

     Outer Sentinel, W. B. Richardson.

     Physician, J. W. Cook.

     Managers, W. A. Powell, three years; C. M. Jones, two years; F. A.

Cooley,  one year.

     The camp decided to close the old year and welcome the new with an

oyster supper and banquet on Thursday night December 31, to which an

invitation is extended to the ladies lodge, the Woodman circle, to

participate with the camp, the program to be arranged by the two lodges. The

invitation also includes the wives of the Woodmen, the husbands of the

members of the Circle, or their best ladies or escorts, as the case may be.

     A special invitation was extended to the newspaper men of the city,

including the local correspondents of the daily papers of the state and all

Woodman visitors.

     The following committee was appointed by the camp to arrange for the

supper and on entertainment: J. J. Spencer, B. F. Foster, F. F. Green, J. P.

Norwood, Geo. E. Sanders, C. G. Cooley.

     B. F. Foster, the energetic and perpetual clerk of the camp says:

"Sovereigns, don't fail to come out and be with us on that occasion as we are

going to have a jolly old time."
