Grand jury of the November term of the 82nd Judicial District convened at 9 a.m. Monday, received brief instructions from Judge Terry Dickens, had a foreman appointed, named riding and door bailiffs, and settled down to its routine of investigation of approxmately 25 felony cases which have arisen since the last grand jury adjourned.
Judge Dickens delivered no special charge, merely admonishing it on the points of law, pointing out that it could not recess for more than three days without the consent of the court, and indicated the body would recess Tuesday for general election day.
It was indicated from the district attorney's office that the grand jury would be able to complete its business by Wednesday night or Thursday morning and recess at that time, subject to the call of the court.
