WACO PILGRIMS VISIT MARLIN.

Travel in Special Trains--Well Pleas-

ed with the Trip.

The Waco trade excursion reached Marlin on schedule time Tuesday night and departed at 9:30 Wednesday morning.

This was the second day out for the excursionists and they were fully enthused, active and alert.  By 6:30 they were all out of their cars and ready to do the accustomed round with the business people.  No formal program had been arranged for them here by the local people, and their reception was informal.  Quite a number of business men were out to greet their neighbors from Waco.

Waco and Marlin are closely linked by the ties of years, and each has noted the progress of the other with pride and pleasure.  Nearly all the gentlemen with the excursion--and they are all gentlemen in the full meaning of the term--are personally known to Marlin people.  Therefore it was not stranger that met stranger, but a renewal of acquaintances and friendships, established by long years, in most instances, and in all instances by pleasant association.
