Tax Collections Are Very Good.
-----

Tax Collector Davis, who has been out on a two weeks collection tour; reports collections very good, something like $5000 having been paid to him.
He has been on the west side and has visited Mooreville, Eddy, Blevins, Bellfalls, Cego, Durango, Westphalia, Barclay, Crenshaw and Lott.
He is on the east side this week, his appointments being at Perry, today: Otto, Tuesday; Stranger, Wednesday; Reagan, Thursday; Denny, Friday; Bremond, Saturday.
Next week he will cross over to the west side again, beginning at Gurley Monday and thence to Chilton on Tuesday, Travis on Wednesday, and winding up at Rosebud on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24, 25 and 26.
These visits are made in pursuance of law, in order that the tax payers may have an opportunity to pay their taxes without the necessity of a trip to the county site.  However, the majority do not avail themselves of the opportunity, as they have until Jan. 31 in which to liquidate.
