Shower for Miss Wright.

    The Entre Nous card club met with Mrs. B. G. Ward Thursday afternoon at four o'clock.

 

    Business over, the ever popular game of six hand euchre was played.

 

    At the conclusion of the games the guests were invited into the dining room where a pleasant surprise awaited them.  A beautiful Xmas tree loaded with pretty and dainty things for Miss Josie Wright, who is to be married on the eighteenth.  The dining room was beautifully decorated in purple and green.  Mrs. Ward, assisted by her sister, Mrs. Holloway, passed the beautiful presents to Miss Wright.

 

    Mrs. Bowdon won first prize, a beautiful hand made handkerchief; Miss Wright won consolation, a pretty handmade yoke; Miss Grider of Waco won guests' prize, a box of paper.

 

    Mrs. Ward served a delicious oyster course with accessories, and hot tea.

 

    The hostess' guests were, Mrs. Rimes, Mrs. Bilingsley, Mrs. Holloway, Mrs. Dan Oltorf, Mrs. Sallie Oltorf, Mrs. E. P. Hutchings, Mrs. C. W. Adams, Mrs. Chas. Oltorf, Mrs. C. L. Fannin, Mrs. London of Austin, Miss Watson of Tennessee, and Miss Grider of Waco.
