       The Central Texas Presbytery convened at the Presbyterian church Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock.  The attendance of delegates is large and much interest attaches to the meeting.
       The opening sermon was delivered by Rev. W. M. Lewis, retiring moderator, who announced the Presbytery open for business.
       Organization was effected by the election of Ruling Elder E. P. Penick of Highland church at Austin, Moderator, Clerks elected as follows:

       Elder W. M. Johnson, of the First church, Austin, engrossing clerk.
       Rev. J. L. Bowling of Bartlett, temporary clerk.
       Rev. A. F. Cunningham, of Belton, reading clerk.
      
       Among those in attendance are the following:
