       The petition in the Foster bankruptcy matter was presented to M. C. H. Park, referee, on Wednesday afternoon at 4:40.
       Attorney Z. I. Harlan, who drew the petition, had started to Waco to file it.  When he walked into the chair car while the train was waiting at the depot, he espied Mr. Park and his clerk seated on a seat and he waived the trip to Waco and filed the paper with Mr. Park in the car.

       A summary of the liabilities and assets shows the following:

Indebtedness.

       Taxes due state, city and county--$87.85
       Wages due employes (sic) --450.00
       Debts preferred by law--150.00
       Secured claims--3,787.50
       Unsecured claims--8,716.10

       Total--$13,191.45

Assets.

       Real estate--$5,400.00

       Stock in trade--14,000.00

       T. F. Bryant of Waco was appointed receiver of the stock of goods and is now in charge of same.
