PASTOR M. T. ANDREWS RESIGNS
-----
Becomes Financial Secretary of Tex-
as Women's College Dec. 1.
-----

Rev. M. T. Andrews tendered his resignation Sunday as pastor of the First Baptist church in this city.  The resignation is effective Dec. 1, when he goes to Bryan to become financial secretary of the Texas Women's college to which position he has recently been elected by the controlling board.
The resignation was announced at a conference of the church members held immediately after the morning service Sunday and it was accepted, a committee being appointed to consider a successor.
Rev. Andrews has been pastor of this church for a little more than five years and during that time the work here has greatly prospered. The church membership and the community will regret the departure from among them of Rev. Andrews and his interesting family.
They will take up their residence in Bryan about Dec. 1, when Mr. Andrews will enter actively upon his duties.
