Opening of Arlington Opera House.
-----

Miss Alma Hearn had the opening play for the season of 1907-8 at the Arlington opera house.
The date being on Saturday and circus day at that, the crowd was not so larage as it would have been otherwise.  Withal, the attendance was good and, the circumstances considered, is vey complimentary to the management.
The play, "No Mother to Guide Her," is a good one of its class and well put on.  Miss Hearnis a vivacious and clever little actress, fully deserving of a better play and a better role than the one in which she is now appearing.  Her support is fair and the audience is given plenty to laugh at.
Some good specialties are introduced but the good effect of the good ones are offset by the suggestiveness in one song, which the manager could well cut out without leaving a fathomless vacumn in the theatrical world.
