Bond Placed at Fifteen Hundred.

       Oliver Pittman was held in bonds of $1500 to await the action of the grand jury on a charge of assault.  The examining trial was held before Judge Dashiell Thursday afternoon.
       Pittman is the negro who was arrested east of town by a posse of his own race and brought in.  Failing to give the bond he was placed in jail.
