A Mixed Opinion of Marlin.
-----

The Democrat has received a copy of the La Grange Journal, containing the following, with a request to publish same:

"Miss Martin Meerscheidt and mother, Mrs. L. Meeracheidt, accompanied by Mrs. F. Mosig, returned from Marlin Sunday afternoon, after a three weeks' stay in that city, seeking benefit from Marlin's noted hot wells.  We are glad to note that the health of the party was much improved, and, but for poor management on the part of the city council, permitting a nuisance in the way of a merry-go-round near the hotels which were full of invalids, their praise of Marlin might have been exceeded.  It is bad enough to have one near one's when healthy, and Marlin should protect the sick in this way, we are inclined to think."
