Jim Smith Shot at Waco.
-----

Waco, Tex., Nov. 22.--A fatal shooting affray occurred at Edgefield, near here, this morning about 10:30 o'clock.  As a result Jim Smith is apparently dying while Will Smith is in the county jail here.  The parties are not related to each other.
The trouble came about by reason of the fact that recently Will Smith bought from the city the barn known as the Owen's property, which has been rented or leased by Apple Pie Smith, and as is claimed, the rent paid up to December 1.
This barn Will Smith wanted to move and yesterday put his hands to tearing it down and moving it.  This A. P. Smith, father of the dead man, forbade his doing.  Some work was done yesterday.  This morning the work hands were sent by A. P. Smith.
One witness states that three or more shots were fired and that Jim Smith had a Wincehster (sic), in which was found one shell freshly exploded.
Will Smith refused to make a statement.
