Excitement at Cameron.

       Cameron, Tex., Oct. 21.--A negro man by the name of Alex Johnson was placed in jail here this afternoon on a charge of criminal assault.  He was arrested by former Sheriff Robert Todd.  Mr. Todd experienced great difficulty in getting the man away from an enraged mob, who were determined to hang or burn him.  There is a great deal of excitement in the neighborhood where the crime was committed.
