How to Kill Bermuda Grass.
-----
(Farm and Ranch)

       E. T. Shelton wants to know how to destroy Bermuda grass. The best way I have found is to take a wagon and team and go yourself, and not send a hired man , take a shovel and dig it up and carry it to some stream and throw it into it.  Be sure not leave any sprigs to grow.  To keep it ouf of the field when it comes under the fence I go with a shovel and keep it thrown back over the fence.  Sorghum is a fine crop to keep Bermuda down; it shades it and makes the land easy to break in the fall after the stock grazes it down. Turn it down for the winter and next spring plant again in sorghum.
