The fire department was called to the residence of Judge W. E. Hunnicutt Thursday afternoon. Investigation developed no fire, smoke in the roof having lead to the belief that fire existed.

murder of Jack Darden.

John Wilson of Corsicana was beaten and robbed of $33 in Dallas on a remote street in the dark. The robber escaped.

Marble Falls, Burnet county, has been selected as a river observation station on the Colorado river, from where the observer will send daily reports to Galveston.
