    The case of Tup Taylor vs the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway Company has been on trial in district court since Monday.
    This case is a suit brought by Taylor, who lives at Rosebud, against the railway company for damages alleged to have been done plaintiff's lands to the extend of $8000.00 by reason of overflows caused by the construction of the railway embankment.
    There are quite a good many witnesses in the case and rosebud has been well represented during the trial.

Other Cases

    The following divorce petitions have been granted this week:
         Girtie Whitlow vs Dan Whitlow
         Edna Turner vs Leo Turner
         W A C Mackie vs Annie R. Mackie
         Callie Mitchell vs James Mitchel

    There are about 100 more divorce cases on the docket for this term of the court.  All of these have been filed within the last two years.
    
    The case of the state vs Will Cook, charged with assault to murder was dismissed.

    The case of Goodrich vs Laprelle has been transferred to the federal court upon petition of the plaintiff.
