       Called meeting of Willis L. Lang Camp No. 299 U.C.V. Comrades present J. B. Storey, H. F. Spencer, J. C. Shaw, J. H. Robinson, J. L. Lenoir, E. F. Davison, W. L. Bynum, A. P. Marvin, P. B. Hale, S. D. Hutchings, D. H. Boyles, G. H. Gasoway, A. Frazier, S. L. Parson, A. A. Finley, B. A. Parsons,  G. E. Kunze, H. C. Franks, W. W. Cariker, M. A. Daugherty, G. A. Irving, Com'dr., J. Cockrell, John Bellinger, N. Stallworth Jno M. Jolly.
       Meeting called to order and the Commander announced that the meeting had been called for the purpose of selecting delegates to teh re-union at Dallas and for such other business as might come before the meeting.
       On motion the Commander was authorized to appoint delegates and alternates to said re-union where the following named comrades were appointed delegates and alternates viz:
       Delegates--H.F.Spencer, J. J. L. Lenoir, J. C. Shaw, D. H. Boyles and E. F. Davison, and on motion Commander King was adder (sic) to the delegation.
       Alternates--N. Stallworth, J. B. Storey, G. H. Gassaway, A. Frazier B. A. Pierson and J. H. Robinson.
       Then came an election of Sponsor for the camp to go with us to Dallas and Miss May Hutchings ws unanimously elected.
       May 7, 1902 was appointed for the date of our decoration day and on motion the local chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy and Camp of Sons of Veterans are requested to co-operate with us and are requested to appoint a committee of three from each organization to co-operate with us.
       Commander appointed following committees:
       On marking graves, Q. J. Cockrell, M. M. Coleman, J. L. LeNoir and G. A. King.
       Committee on music, John Bellinger, A. Frazier and N. Stallworth.
       Fieance (sic) committee, G. A. King, and J. M. Jolly.
       F.M. Stallworth Jr. presented the camp with one hundred badges and on motion the same was accepted with thanks by a rising vote.
       On motion Senator J. J. Swann was unanimously chosen as the orator on the part of the veterans to deliver the oration on decoration day.
       On motion the adjutant was instructed to furnish a copy of these minutes to the Daughters of the Confederacy and Sons of Veterans and also copies to the (did not continue sentence-lsc)
       On motion Clark Light Guard was instructed to act as escort and fire salute.
       On motion it was unanimously decided that the camp will act with the chapter of the Daughters of teh Confederacy and Sons of Veterans in the purchase of Oltorf lake for a Confederate Park.
       On motion meeting adjourned to meet in Dallas, Texas, April 21st, 1902.
