GENERAL DISCUSSION AS TO
THE MEANING OF THE
TERRELL ELECTION LAW


     There was a general discussion as to the meaning of the Terrell election law with regard to primary elections, etc, but by general consent, all matters pertaining to the same were referred to the special committee authorized by the adoption of the sub committee report. This committee is composed of Chairman Southwell, Secretary Spivey and N J. Lewellyn.
     Ordered that none should participate in any convention of the party, except people of the white race, as distinguished from people of the colored race, and who are otherwise qualified voters and who would pledge themselves to support the democratic nominees.
     Acting under the Terrell election law, the chair announced the appointment of the following persons as presiding officers of election at their respective boxes, in the democratic primary election to be held on July 9th:

     Alto Springs - A. J. Jennings. 
     Barclay - Paul Peiper, Sr.
     Bell Falls - E. A. Adams.
     Blevins - J. L. Literal.
     Cedar Springs - Matt Jones.
     Chilton - J. B. Landrum.
     Cego - W. T. Moon.
     Center - Jim Barton.
     Dot - Frank Leibreich.
     Durango - J. W. Henslee.
     Eureka - J. C. Criswell.
     Gurley - J. C. Neil.
     Lott - E. F. McCreary.
     Liberty - J. G. Barganier.
     Marlin - North, T. E. Battle.
     Marlin - South, C. A. Oltorf.
     Mustang- R. B. Fore.
     McClaeb - Hawk Lowery.
     Mooreville - Burgher McCullough.
     Perry - F. M. Oakes.
     Rocky Hill - Geo. Falconer.
